We said to Ayesha, "Umm Muiminin, what was the character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ like?"She replied, "The character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the Quran." Then she recited, "Successful indeed are the believers" until she reached, "and who are mindful of their prayers" [Muminun 23:1–9].Then she said, "Such was the character of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
قلنا لعائشة: يا أم المؤمنين كيف كان خلق رسول الله ﷺ؟ قالت: خلق رسول الله ﷺ القرآن، فقرأت {قد أفلح المؤمنون} - حتى انتهت- {والذين هم على صلواتهم يحافظون} [المؤمنون: ١- ٩] قالت: هكذا كان خلق رسول الله ﷺ.
Nasai narrated it in Kubra (11287), and Bukhari narrated it in Adab al-Mufrad (308), both of them through the route of Jafar (he is Ibn Sulayman Dubai), from Abu Imran, who said, "Yazid bin Babnus narrated to us," and then he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Jafar bin Sulayman Dubai and Yazid bin Babnus, for both of them make the hadith hasan.
