Abu Dawud (2522) narrated it, and Bayhaqi (9/164) narrated it through his route, from Ahmad bin Salih, who said, Yahya bin Hassan narrated to us, who said, Walid bin Rabah Dhimari narrated to us, who said, my uncle Numran bin Utbah Dhimari narrated to me, he said, "We entered upon Umm Darda while we were orphans, and she said, 'Rejoice, for I heard Abu Darda say, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,'" and he mentioned the hadith.Its chain is hasan because of Numran bin Utbah, from whom Hurayz bin Uthman narrated, and the teachers of Hurayz are all trustworthy. No one declared him trustworthy except that Ibn Hibban mentioned him in his Thiqat (7/544), and narrated through his route in his Sahih (4660), and Ajurri also narrated through his route in Shariah (814).As for Walid bin Rabah Dhimari, Abu Dawud said, "The correct form is Rabah bin Walid." That is Rabah bin Walid bin Yazid bin Numran Dhimari, whose name got reversed by some narrators, so they said Walid bin Rabah Dhimari, and he is "saduq" (truthful).On this subject there is also a report from Uthman bin Affan, marked as a saying of the Prophet, "Three will intercede on the Day of Resurrection, the prophets, then the scholars, then the martyrs." Ibn Majah (4313) narrated it from Saeed bin Marwan, who said, Ahmad bin Yunus narrated to us, who said, Anbasah bin Abdul-Rahman narrated to us, from Allaq bin Abu Muslim, from Aban bin Uthman, from Uthman bin Affan, and he mentioned it.In it is Anbasah bin Abdul-Rahman Umawi, upon whose weakness the majority of scholars agree, and Abu Hatim accused him of fabrication. His teacher, Allaq bin Muslim or Ibn Abu Muslim, is "majhul" (unknown).
