"I saw the Prophet ﷺ and ate bread and meat with him," or he said, "tharid."I asked him, "Did the Prophet ﷺ seek forgiveness for you?"He replied, "Yes, and for you," then he recited this verse, "And ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women" [Muhammad 47:19].He continued, "Then I went around behind him and looked at the seal of prophethood between his shoulders, near the cartilage of his left shoulder, gathered together, with moles upon it like warts."
رأيت النبي ﷺ وأكلت معه خبزا ولحما أو: قال: ثريدا، قال: فقلت له: أستغفر لك النبي ﷺ؟ قال: نعم، ولك، ثم تلا هذه الآية: {واستغفر لذنبك وللمؤمنين والمؤمنت} [محمد ١٩]: قال ثم درت خلفه فنظرت إلى خاتم النبوة بين كتفيه عند ناغض كتفه اليسرى جمعا، عليه خيلان كأمثال الثآليل.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Virtues (112:2346) through several routes from Abdul-Wahid (meaning Ibn Ziyad), who said, Asim narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Sarjas, who said, and then he related it.His saying "jaman" means the clenched fist, after gathering and closing the fingers. His saying "al-khilan" is the plural of "khal," which means a mole on the body. The hadith should be understood as meaning that the seal was shaped like a clenched fist, but smaller than that, about the size of a pigeon's egg.On this subject there are other hadiths mentioned in the Book of Faith.
