Abu Juhayfa said, "I saw the Prophet ﷺ, and Hasan bin Ali resembled him."Ishaq bin Abu Khalid said to Abu Juhayfa, "Describe him to me."He replied, "He was fair-skinned with some grey hair. The Prophet ﷺ ordered that thirteen young she-camels be given to us, but he passed away before we could collect them."
رأيت النبي ﷺ وكان الحسن بن علي يشبهه، قال إسحاق بن أبي خالد لأبي جحيفة: صفه لي، قال: كان أبيض قد شمط، وأمر لنا النبي ﷺ بثلاث عشرة قلوصا، قال: فقبض النبي ﷺ قبل أن نقبضها.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Virtues (3544), and Muslim in the Book of Merits (107:2343), both through the route of Muhammad bin Fudayl, from Ismail bin Abu Khalid, who said, I heard Abu Juhayfa say, and he mentioned it.In Muslim's version it reads, "fair skinned, with grey hair" instead of "fair skinned, with hair showing grey streaks." Abu Juhayfa's given name was Wahb, and he was also called Wahbullah and Wahb al-Khayr. Shamat means that the blackness of his hair had become mixed with white, and the location referred to was the anfaqa, which is the area between the chin and the lower lip.
