The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no deceased person over whom a community of Muslims numbering one hundred prays, all of them interceding for him, but their intercession for him is accepted."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: ما من ميت يصلي عليه أمة من المسلمين يبلغون مائة كلهم يشفعون له، إلا شفعوا فيه.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Funerals (947), from Hasan bin Isa, who said, Ibn Mubarak narrated to us, Sallam bin Abu Mutee informed us, from Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, from Abdullah bin Yazid, the foster brother of Ayesha, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.He said, I related it to Shuayb bin Habhab, and he said, Anas bin Malik related it to me, from the Prophet ﷺ.The one who said, "I related it to Shuayb," is Sallam bin Abu Mutee, for he narrates it through two routes. The first is from Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, from Abdullah bin Yazid, from Ayesha. The second is through Shuayb bin Habhab, from Anas bin Malik, from the Prophet ﷺ.
