Saeed bin Jubayr reported,

Ibn Abbas said, "Thursday, and what a Thursday it was!" Then he wept until his tears wet the pebbles.I asked, "Ibn Abbas, what happened on Thursday?"He replied, "The Messenger of Allah's ﷺ illness grew severe, and he said, 'Bring me writing materials so I may write for you a document after which you will never go astray.' But the people fell into dispute, and there should be no dispute in the presence of a prophet. They said, 'What is wrong with him? Is he delirious? Ask him to clarify.'He said, 'Leave me be. The state I am in is better than what you are calling me to. I leave you with three instructions. Expel the polytheists from the Arabian Peninsula, give gifts to visiting delegations as I used to give them.'"Ibn Abbas said, "He remained silent about the third, or perhaps he stated it but I have forgotten."
