Anas bin Malik reported,

Some men from the Ansar said, when Allah granted His Messenger ﷺ the spoils from the wealth of Hawazin and the Prophet ﷺ began giving certain men a hundred camels each, "May Allah forgive the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He gives to Quraysh and leaves us out, while our swords still drip with their blood."Anas said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was informed of what they had said, so he sent for the Ansar and gathered them in a tent of leather, allowing no one else to join them. When they had assembled, the Prophet ﷺ stood and asked, "What is this talk that has reached me from you?"The learned men of the Ansar replied, "Messenger of Allah, our leaders said nothing. It was only some of our younger men who said, 'May Allah forgive the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He gives to Quraysh and leaves us out, while our swords still drip with their blood.'"The Prophet ﷺ said, "I give to men who have only recently left disbelief, seeking to win their hearts. Are you not pleased that the people should depart with wealth while you depart with the Prophet ﷺ to your homes? By Allah, what you return with is better than what they return with."They said, "Messenger of Allah, we are content."The Prophet ﷺ then said to them, "You will encounter severe favoritism after me, so be patient until you meet Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, for I shall be at the Pool."Anas said, but they did not remain patient.

عن أنس بن مالك قال

قال ناس من الأنصار حين أفاء الله على رسوله ﷺ ما أفاء من أموال هوازن، فطفق النبي ﷺ يعطي رجالا المائة من الإبل فقالوا: يغفر الله لرسول الله ﷺ يعطي قريشا ويتركنا، وسيوفنا تقطر من دمائهم. قال أنس: فحدث رسول الله ﷺ بمقالتهم، فأرسل إلى الأنصار فجمعهم في قبة من آدم ولم يدع معهم غيرهم، فلما اجتمعوا قام النبي ﷺ فقال: ما حديث بلغني عنكم فقال فقهاء الأنصار: أما رؤساؤنا يا رسول الله فلم يقولوا شيئا، وأما ناس منا حديثة أسنانهم فقالوا: يغفر الله لرسول الله ﷺ يعطي قريشا ويتركنا، وسيوفنا تقطر من دمائهم. فقال النبي ﷺ: فإني أعطي رجالا حديثي عهد بكفر، أتألفهم، أما ترضون أن يذهب الناس بالأموال وتذهبون بالنبي ﷺ إلى رحالكم، فوالله لما تنقلبون به خير مما ينقلبون به قالوا: يا رسول الله قد رضينا. فقال لهم النبي ﷺ: ستجدون أثرة شديدة، فاصبروا حتى تلقوا الله ورسوله ﷺ فإني على الحوض قال أنس: فلم يصبروا.
