The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever is able to die in Madinah, let him die there, for I will intercede for whoever dies in it."
قال النبي ﷺ: من استطاع أن يموت بالمدينة فليمت بها، فإني أشفع لمن يموت بها.
Tirmidhi (3917) and Ibn Majah (312) both narrated it through the route of Muaz bin Hisham, who said, "My father narrated to me, from Ayub, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar," and he mentioned it.Tirmidhi said, "Hasan gharib from the hadith of Ayub Sakhtiyani."I say, it is as he said, for Muaz bin Hisham Dastawai did not rise to the rank of a trustworthy narrator, though his hadith is hasan. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (3741) and reported it through this same route.Tirmidhi said, "On this subject there is also a report from Subayah bint Harith Aslamiyyah."I say, that is the one coming after the hadith of Sumaytah.
