He asked Abu Hurairah, "Did you pray the prayer of fear with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"Abu Hurairah replied, "Yes."He asked, "When?"Abu Hurairah said, "The year of the expedition to Najd."
أنه سأل أبا هريرة: هل صليت مع رسول الله ﷺ صلاة الخوف؟ فقال أبو هريرة: نعم، فقال: متى؟ قال: عام غزوة نجد.
Abu Dawud (1240), Nasai (3/173-174), and Ahmad (8260) narrated it, and Ibn Khuzayma (1361) and Hakim (1/338-339) graded it sahih, all of them through Abdullah bin Yazid Muqri, who said that Haywa and Ibn Lahia narrated to him, and they said that Abu Aswad, the ward of Urwa, narrated to them that he heard Urwa bin Zubayr narrating from Marwan bin Hakam, and he mentioned it in a long hadith. Its isnad is sahih.The two hadiths indicate that the Battle of Dhat al-Riqa took place after Khaybar. Bukhari said in the Book of Military Expeditions, in the chapter on the Battle of Dhat al-Riqa, "It was after Khaybar, because Abu Musa came after Khaybar." I say, likewise Abu Hurairah came after Khaybar.
