When the Prophet ﷺ came to Khaybar, they found the people heading out to their fields carrying their spades. When the people saw him with the army, they retreated and went back to their fortress. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah is the Greatest. Khaybar is destroyed. When we descend upon a people's territory, evil is the morning of those who have been warned."
لما أتى النبي ﷺ خيبر فوجدوهم حين خرجوا إلى زروعهم معهم مساحيهم فلما رأوه ومعه الجيش نكصوا فرجعوا إلى حصنهم فقال النبي ﷺ: الله أكبر خربت خيبر، إنا إذا نزلنا بساحة قوم فساء صباح المنذرين.
