The Prophet ﷺ said, "The righteous will pass away one after another, and there will remain only worthless remnants like the chaff of barley or dates, for whom Allah will have no concern."
قال النبي ﷺ: يذهب الصالحون الأول فالأول، ويبقى حفالة كحفالة الشعير أو التمر، لا يباليهم الله بالة.
Bukhari related it in Raqaq (6434) from Yahya bin Hammad, who said, Abu Awana narrated to us, from Bayan, from Qays bin Abu Hazim, from Mirdas Aslami, who said, and then he mentioned it. It is stated in the narration found in Bukhari (4156) that Mirdas was one of the companions of the Tree.
