The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say, "There is no god but Allah alone. He honored His army, granted victory to His servant, and defeated the confederates by Himself, so there is nothing after Him."
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يقول: لا إله إلا الله وحده، أعز جنده، ونصر عبده، وغلب الأحزاب وحده، فلا شيء بعده.
Bukhari reported it in the Book of Military Expeditions (4114), and Muslim reported it in the Book of Remembrance and Supplication (77:2724), both from Qutayba bin Saeed, who said, our teacher Layth narrated to us, from Saeed bin Abu Saeed, from his father (that is, Abu Saeed Maqburi), from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it.His words, "and He defeated the confederates alone, so there is nothing after Him," are an example of commendable rhymed prose. The difference between this and the objectionable kind is that the objectionable kind comes forced and strained, while the commendable kind comes with harmony and natural agreement.
