I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Talha has secured Paradise by what he did for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."The people had fled from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ until some of them reached al-Manqadun al-Aws. Uthman bin Affan, Uqba bin Uthman, and Saad bin Uthman, the latter two being men from the Ansar, from Banu Zurayq, fled until they reached al-Julub, a mountain on the outskirts of Medina, where they stayed for three days before returning to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them, "You went quite far in your flight."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: أوجب طلحة حين صنع ما صنع برسول الله ﷺ وقد كان الناس انهزموا عن رسول الله ﷺ حتى انتهى بعضهم إلى المنقادون الأعوص، وفر عثمان بن عفان وعقبة بن عثمان وسعد بن عثمان رجلان من الأنصار ثم من بني زريق حتى بلغوا الجلعب- جبلا بناحية المدينة فأقاموا به ثلاثا، ثم رجعوا إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال رسول الله ﷺ: لقد ذهبتم فيها عريضة.
Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated it in his Sirah (514). He said, Yahya bin Abbad bin Abdullah bin Zubayr told me, from his father, from Abdullah bin Zubayr, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ishaq.
