Some men from the Ansar asked permission of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saying, "Allow us to forgo the ransom owed by our sister's son, Abbas."He replied, "By Allah, you shall not leave a single dirham of it."
أن رجالا من الأنصار استأذنوا رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا: ائذن لنا فلنترك لابن أختنا عباس فداءه، قال: والله لا تذرون منه درهما.
