The Prophet ﷺ ransomed the captives of Badr, and the ransom for each one of them was four thousand.
فادى النبي ﷺ بأسارى بدر، فكان فداء كل واحد منهم أربعة آلاف.

Abdul-Razzaq narrated it (9394), and from his route Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir (11/406–407), from Mamar, from Qatada, who said, "Uthman Jazari informed me, from Miqsam, from Ibn Abbas," and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Uthman Jazari has been criticized, but he was corroborated by another narrator. Haythami mentioned it in Al-Majma (6/89) and said, "Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir and Al-Awsat, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."Ibn Hisham said in his Sirah (1/660), "The ransom of the polytheists on that day ranged from four thousand dirhams to one thousand dirhams per man, except for those who had nothing, whom the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pardoned."
