We were carrying one brick at a time, while Ammar was carrying two at a time. The Prophet ﷺ saw him and began brushing the dust off him, saying, "Alas for Ammar! The transgressing party will kill him. He will be calling them to Paradise, while they call him to the Fire."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Prayer (447), from Musaddad, who said, Abdul-Aziz bin Mukhtar narrated to us, he said, Khalid Haddan narrated to us, from Ikrima, who said, Ibn Abbas said to me and to his son Ali, "Go to Abu Saeed and listen to his hadith." So we went, and found him in an orchard tending to it. He took his cloak and wrapped himself in it, then began narrating to us until he reached the mention of the building of the masjid, and he related it.Along with the building of the masjid, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began building two houses for Ayesha and Sawda out of mud brick and palm branches. And when the Prophet ﷺ married his wives, he built rooms for them, nine houses in all.
