He was one of the companions of the Messenger ﷺ. He said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever meets Allah without associating anything with Him will enter Paradise, even if he has committed adultery and even if he has stolen."
- وكان من أصحاب الرسول ﷺ- قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: من لقي الله لا يشرك به شيئا دخل الجنة، وإن زنى وإن سرق.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (18284, 22464) through two paths from Abu Muawiya Shayban, who said, Mansur narrated to us, from Salim bin Abu Jaad, from Salama bin Naeem, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. Salama bin Naeem bin Masud Ashjai Kufi, he and his father Naeem, both had companionship with the Prophet. Salim bin Abu Jaad was from Kufah and used to narrate without a direct link from senior companions such as Umar, Ali, Ayesha, Ibn Masud, and others. No one has stated explicitly that he did not hear from Salama bin Naeem, and it is possible that they met, since both were from Kufah.
