Tariq bin Abdullah reported,

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the market of Dhul-Majaz, wearing a red garment, and I heard him saying, "People, say 'There is no god but Allah' and you will succeed."A man was following him, throwing stones at him until his ankles and heels were bleeding, while saying, "People, do not obey this man, for he is a liar."I asked, "Who is this?"Someone replied, "This is the young man of the clan of Abdul-Muttalib."I asked, "And who is the one following him and pelting him with stones?"He said, "That is Abdul-Uzza, Abu Lahab."When Islam became prominent, we set out and stopped near Medina, and we had a woman in a litter with us. While we were sitting there, a man wearing two garments came up, greeted us, and asked, "Where have you come from?"We said, "From al-Rabadha."We had a camel with us, and he asked, "Will you sell this camel?"We said, "Yes."He asked, "For how much?"We said, "For such-and-such measures of dates."He took it without bargaining us down, saying, "I have taken it." Then he disappeared behind the walls of Medina. We began blaming each other, saying, "You handed over your camel to a man you do not even know."But the woman in the litter said, "Do not blame each other. I saw the face of a man who would never cheat you. I have never seen anything more closely resembling the full moon on the night of Badr than his face."In the evening, a man came to us, greeted us, and said, "I am the messenger of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He says you may eat until you are full and measure out for yourselves until you have your full amount."So we ate until we were satisfied and measured out until we had our complete share. The next morning we entered Medina, and there was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ standing on the pulpit delivering a sermon, saying, "The hand that gives is the upper hand. Begin with those you are responsible for, your mother and father, your sister and brother, then those nearest to you and then those next nearest."A man stood and said, "Messenger of Allah, these people, the clan of Thalaba bin Yarbu, killed so-and-so in the days of ignorance. Take retribution from them on our behalf."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands until I saw the whiteness of his armpits and said, "No mother commits a crime against her child. No mother commits a crime against her child."
