The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hasan and Husayn are the masters of the youth of Paradise, except for the two cousins, Yahya and Isa, peace be upon them."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الحسن والحسين سيدا شباب أهل الجنة إلا ابني الخالة: يحيى وعيسى عليهما السلام.
Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir (3/28), Ibn Hibban (6959), and Hakim (3/166–167), all of them through routes from Hakam bin Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Naim, from his father, from Abu Saeed Khudri, who mentioned it. Hakim said, "This is a hadith that has been established as sahih through many routes, and I am astonished that the two of them did not include it." Dhahabi followed up on this, saying, "There is weakness in Hakam." I say, its chain is hasan due to the discussion surrounding Hakam bin Abdul-Rahman, except that his hadith is hasan. His statement, "Hasan and Husayn are the two leaders of the youth of Paradise," is recorded in the virtues of the companions.
