Husayn bin Abdul-Rahman reported,

I was with Saeed bin Jubayr when he asked, "Which of you saw the shooting star that fell last night?"I said, "I did." Then I added, "I was not engaged in prayer, but I had been stung."He asked, "What did you do then?"I replied, "I sought a ruqya."He asked, "What led you to do that?"I said, "A hadith that Shaybi narrated to us."He asked, "And what did Shaybi narrate to you?"I said, "He narrated to us from Burayda bin Husayb al-Aslami that he said, 'There is no ruqya except for the evil eye or a venomous sting.'"He said, "He has done well, the one who stops at what he has heard. But Ibn Abbas narrated to us from the Prophet ﷺ who said, 'The nations were displayed before me. I saw a prophet with a small band of followers, a prophet with one or two men, and a prophet with no one at all. Then a great multitude was raised up before me, and I supposed they were my nation, but I was told, This is Musa ﷺ and his people. Look instead toward the horizon. I looked, and there was a great multitude. I was told, Look at the other horizon, and there too was a great multitude. I was told, This is your nation, and along with them are seventy thousand who will enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment.'Then he rose and entered his house, and the people began discussing those who would enter Paradise without reckoning or punishment. Some of them said, "Perhaps they are those who accompanied the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."Others said, "Perhaps they are those who were born in Islam and never associated anything with Allah." They mentioned various other possibilities. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then came out to them and asked, "What are you discussing?"They told him, and he said, "They are the ones who do not seek ruqya, do not request to be cauterized, do not take omens from birds, and place their trust in their Lord."Ukkasha bin Mihsan stood up and said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them."He said, "You are one of them."Then another man stood and said, "Pray to Allah to make me one of them."He replied, "Ukkasha has preceded you in this."
