Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (162:259), from Shayban bin Farroukh, who said, "Hammad bin Salama narrated to us, Thabit Bunani narrated to us, from Anas bin Malik," and he mentioned it. Hakim added (2/570), "and his mother." This addition was reported solely by Affan bin Muslim, from Hammad, and although he was a trustworthy and precise narrator, a trustworthy narrator can sometimes err, and so Dhahabi and others counted it among his objectionable narrations.His saying, "He was given half of beauty," means half of the beauty of our father Adam , because Allah created Adam with His own hand and breathed into him from His spirit, so he was at the utmost limit of human beauty. That is why the people of Paradise will enter Paradise at the height of their father Adam, and with his form and his beauty, as reported in the hadith of Abu Hurairah in Bukhari, in the chapters on the prophets (3327), and in Muslim, in the description of Paradise (2834:15, 16). However, this beauty was shared between Adam and Yusuf, peace be upon them both, otherwise our Prophet ﷺ was the most handsome and the most beautiful of people absolutely, from Adam until the Day of Judgment.Yusuf lived twenty-three years after the death of his father Yaqub, and he died at the age of one hundred and ten. His body was embalmed according to the customs of the Egyptians, and he instructed that his body be carried until it was buried beside his father. So Musa carried the coffin containing his body with him when he left Egypt. Ibn Jareer mentioned part of this in his history (1/364), and something similar is found in the Book of Genesis (50:25-26) and the Book of Exodus (13:19).
