Ayesha reported,
The Prophet ﷺ said to her, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer."She replied, "He is a tender-hearted man. Whenever he stands in your place, he weeps."He repeated the instruction, and she repeated her response. Shuba said, on the third or fourth time, he said, "You are like the companions of Yusuf. Tell Abu Bakr to lead the prayer."

أن النبي ﷺ قال لها: مري أبا بكر يصلي بالناس قالت: إنه رجل أسيف متى يقم مقامك رق، فعاد فعادت قال شعبة: فقال في الثالثة أو الرابعة: إنكن صواحب يوسف مروا أبا بكر.
Bukhari narrated it in the hadiths of the Prophets (3384) from Badal bin Muhabbar, Shuba informed us from Saad bin Ibrahim who said, I heard Urwa bin Zubayr, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Muslim narrated it in the Prayer (418:94) by way of Abdul-Razzaq, Maamar informed us from Zuhri, and Hamza bin Abdullah bin Umar informed me, from Ayesha, in a similar manner.
