Allah tested him with the rites of purification, five concerning the head and five concerning the body.Those concerning the head are using the tooth-stick, drawing water into the nose, rinsing the mouth, trimming the moustache, and parting the hair.Those concerning the body are clipping the nails, shaving the pubic hair, circumcision, cleansing oneself after relieving oneself of stool and urine, and plucking the underarm hair.
في قوله تعالى: {وإذ ابتلى إبراهم ربه بكلمت فأتمهن قال إني جاعلك للناس إماما قال ومن ذريتي قال لا ينال عهدي الظلمين}[البقرة: ١٢٤]
ابتلاه الله بالطهارة: خمس في الرأس، وخمس في الجسد، في الرأس: السواك، والاستنشاق، والمضمضة، وقص الشارب، وفرق الرأس، وفي الجسد خمسة: تقليم الأظفار، وحلق العانة، والختان، والاستنجاء من الغائط، والبول، ونتف الإبط.
