The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said, "I will be at the edge of my Pool driving people away to make room for the people of Yemen. I will strike with my staff until the water flows abundantly over them."He was asked about its breadth, and he replied, "From where I stand to Amman."He was asked about its drink, and he replied, "Whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Two spouts pour into it abundantly, supplying it from Paradise, one of gold and the other of silver."
أن نبي الله ﷺ قال: إني لبعقر حوضي أذود الناس لأهل اليمن أضرب بعصاي حتى يرفض عليهم. فسئل عن عرضه فقال: من مقامي إلى عمان. وسئل عن شرابه فقال: أشد بياضا من اللبن، وأحلى من العسل يغت فيه ميزابان يمدانه من الجنة، أحدهما من ذهب، والآخر من ورق.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Virtues (2301) through several routes from Muaz bin Hisham, who said, my father narrated to me, from Qatada, from Salim bin Abu Jaad, from Madan bin Abu Talha Yamuri, from Thawban, and he mentioned it.Regarding the phrase, "two spouts pour into it, feeding it," Nawawi said, "This is how Thabit, Khattabi, Harawi, the author of Tahrir, and the majority of scholars have stated it, yaghtu. This is also how it appears in most of the manuscripts from our region, and the judge has transmitted it from the majority. Harawi said, its meaning is that they pour water into it in a strong, continuous flow. They said its root meaning relates to one thing following another in succession. It has also been said that it means they pour into it constantly, with a forceful pouring."
