Umm Sharik reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the killing of the gecko and said, "It used to blow on the fire that was set for Ibrahim 
."

This is his wording.Bukhari also narrated it in the chapter on the Beginning of Creation (3307), and Muslim in the chapter on Greetings (2237), both of them from the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Abdul-Hameed bin Jubayr bin Shayba, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Umm Shareek, that the Prophet ﷺ ordered that geckos be killed. Muslim did not mention the statement, "It used to blow on Ibrahim ."
