The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun has never been held back for any human being except for Yusha, during the nights he marched toward Bayt al-Maqdis."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن الشمس تحبس على بشر إلا ليوشع ليالي سار إلى بيت المقدس.
Ahmad narrated it (8315), and from his route Fasawi in al-Marifah wal-Tarikh (2/172), from Aswad bin Amir, "Abu Bakr informed us, from Hisham, from Ibn Sirin, from Abu Hurairah," and he related it. Its isnad is sahih. Hafiz also graded it sahih in Fath al-Bari (6/221).
