Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to the graveyard and said, "Peace be upon you, dwelling of a believing people. We will, Allah willing, be joining you. I wish we could see our brothers."The companions asked, "Are we not your brothers, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "You are my companions. Our brothers are those who have not yet come."They asked, "How will you recognize those of your nation who have not yet come, Messenger of Allah?"He said, "Tell me, if a man had horses with white blazes on their foreheads and white markings on their legs among horses that were entirely jet-black, would he not recognize his own horses?"They answered, "Of course, Messenger of Allah."He said, "They will come on the Day of Resurrection with bright faces and shining limbs from the traces of ablution, and I will be at the Pool ahead of them to receive them. Some men will be driven away from my Pool just as a stray camel is driven off. I will call out to them, 'Come here!' But it will be said, 'They changed the religion after you.' So I will say, 'Away with them, away with them.'"

عن أبي هريرة

أن رسول الله ﷺ أتى المقبرة فقال: السلام عليكم دار قوم مؤمنين، وإنا إن شاء الله بكم لاحقون، وددت أنا قد رأينا إخواننا. قالوا: أو لسنا إخوانك يا رسول الله؟ قال: أنتم أصحابي، وإخواننا الذين لم يأتوا بعد. فقالوا: كيف تعرف من لم يأت بعد من أمتك يا رسول الله؟ فقال: أرأيت لو أن رجلا له خيل غر محجلة بين ظهري خيل دهم بهم ألا يعرف خيله؟ قالوا: بلى يا رسول الله. قال: فإنهم يأتون غرا محجلين من الوضوء، وأنا فرطهم على الحوض. ألا ليذادن رجال عن حوضي كما يذاد البعير الضال، أناديهم ألا هلم. فيقال: إنهم قد بدلوا بعدك فأقول سحقا سحقا.
