He said regarding this verse, "If they come to you, judge between them or turn away from them" [Maidah 5:42], that it was abrogated by the words of Allah Most High, "So judge between them by what Allah has revealed" [Maidah 5:48].
أنه قال عن هذه{فإن جاءوك فاحكم بينهم أو أعرض عنهم} [المائدة: ٤٢] نسخت بقوله تعالى: {فاحكم بينهم بما أنزل الله} [المائدة: ٤٨].
Abu Dawud (3590) narrated it from Ahmad bin Muhammad Marwazi, who said, "Ali bin Husayn narrated to me," from his father, from Yazid the grammarian, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Ali bin Husayn, who is the son of Waqid Marwazi, and because of his father, for the two of them make the hadith hasan. Yazid the grammarian is the son of Abu Saeed, Abu Hasan, and he is trustworthy.
