A man said, "Muhammad, our best one and son of our best one, our master and son of our master."He replied, "Speak as you normally would, and do not let Satan, or the satans (one of the two words), lead you astray. I am Muhammad, the servant of Allah and His Messenger. I do not like for you to raise me above the rank that Allah has placed me in."
أن رجلا قال: يا محمد، يا خيرنا، وابن خيرنا، ويا سيدنا، وابن سيدنا. فقال: قولوا بقولكم، ولا يستجركم الشيطان- أو الشياطين (إحدى الكلمتين)- أنا محمد عبد الله ورسوله، ما أحب أن ترفعوني فوق منزلتي التي أنزلني الله.
