The Prophet ﷺ said while inside a tent, "Allah, I call upon You by Your covenant and Your promise. Allah, if You will, You shall not be worshipped after this day."Abu Bakr took him by the hand and said, "That is enough, Messenger of Allah. You have pleaded earnestly with your Lord."He was wearing his armor, and he came out reciting, "The multitude will be defeated and will turn their backs in flight. Indeed, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour will be more disastrous and more bitter." [Qamar 54:45–46].
Bukhari related it in the Book of Jihad and Military Expeditions (2915) from Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, Abdul-Wahhab narrated to us, who said, Khalid narrated to us, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it.Then Bukhari said, Wahib said, Khalid narrated to us, "The day of Badr."
