Filtan bin Asim reported,

We were sitting with the Prophet ﷺ when revelation came down upon him. Whenever revelation came upon him, his gaze would become fixed, his eyes wide open, and he would give over his hearing and his heart entirely to what was coming from Allah. When it ended, he said to the scribe, "Write, 'Not equal are those believers who remain behind and those who strive in the way of Allah'" [Nisa 4:95].Then the blind man stood up and said, "What fault is ours?"Revelation came upon the Prophet again, so we said to the blind man, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is receiving revelation." He remained standing and kept saying, "I turn to Allah in repentance."When it ended, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Write, 'except those who are disabled'" [Nisa 4:95].
