Reported by Tabarani in al-Awsat (2663, Majma al-Bahrayn) from Ali bin Saeed Razi, who said, Qabisa bin Uqba narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Malik bin Mughul narrated to us, from Ismail bin Abu Khalid, from Qays bin Abu Hazim, from Abu Bakr, and he related it.Tabarani said, No one narrated it from Ismail except Malik bin Mughul, and no one narrated it from him except Qabisa, and his son alone transmitted it. Its chain is hasan on account of Uqba bin Qabisa, for he is trustworthy, and on account of Ali bin Saeed Razi, about whom there is only slight criticism that does not lower his hadith below the rank of hasan.Munziri graded its chain hasan in al-Targheeb wal-Tarheeb (2180). His statement, "No people abandon jihad..." means, when the imam calls them to it and they hold back.
