The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah has finished judging between His servants and intends to bring out of the Fire those He wishes to bring out from among those who used to bear witness that there is no god but Allah, He will command the angels to bring them out. The angels will recognize them by the marks of prostration, for Allah has forbidden the Fire to consume the marks of prostration on the son of Adam. They will be brought out scorched, and water called the Water of Life will be poured over them, and they will sprout as a seed sprouts in the silt left by a flood."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Tawheed (7437), and Muslim in the Book of Faith (182), both through Ibrahim bin Saad, from Ibn Shihab, from Ata bin Yazid Laythi, from Abu Hurairah, who related the hadith within a long narrative.
