Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

Abu Saeed reported that while the Prophet ﷺ was distributing something, Abdullah bin Dhil-Khuwaysira Tamimi came and said, "Be just, Messenger of Allah."He replied, "Woe to you! Who will be just if I am not just?"Umar bin Khattab said, "Let me strike off his neck."The Prophet ﷺ said, "Leave him. He has companions such that any one of you would think his own prayer worthless beside theirs, and his own fasting worthless beside theirs. They will shoot out of the religion the way an arrow shoots clean through its target. One looks at the arrow's feathers and finds nothing on them, then looks at its head and finds nothing on it, then looks at its binding and finds nothing on it, then looks at its shaft and finds nothing on it, for it has passed through the stomach contents and the blood too swiftly. Their sign is a man one of whose arms, or he said one of whose breasts, is like a woman's breast, or he said like a lump of flesh, quivering. They will appear at a time when the people are divided."Abu Saeed said, "I bear witness that I heard this from the Prophet ﷺ, and I bear witness that Ali fought them while I was with him, and the man was brought in exactly as the Prophet ﷺ had described him."He said that it was concerning this man that the verse was revealed, "And among them is he who criticizes you concerning the charities" [Tawba 9:58].

عن أبي سعيد الخدري قال

بينا النبي ﷺ يقسم جاء عبد الله بن ذي الخويصرة التميمي فقال: اعدل يا رسول الله فقال: ويلك ومن يعدل إذا لم أعدل؟ قال عمر بن الخطاب: دعني أضرب عنقه قال: دعه فإن له أصحابا يحقر أحدكم صلاته مع صلاته وصيامه مع صيامه، يمرقون من الدين كما يمرق السهم من الرمية، ينظر في قذذه، فلا يوجد فيه شيء، ثم ينظر في نصله، فلا يوجد فيه شيء، ثم ينظر في رصافه فلا يوجد فيه شيء، ثم ينظر في نضيه، فلا يوجد فيه شيء، قد سبق الفرث والدم، آيتهم رجل إحدى يديه- أو قال: ثدييه- مثل ثدي المرأة- أو قال: مثل البضعة- تدردر يخرجون على حين فرقة من الناس. قال أبو سعيد: أشهد سمعت من النبي ﷺ وأشهد أن عليا قتلهم وأنا معه جيء بالرجل على النعت الذي نعته النبي ﷺ قال فنزلت فيه: {ومنهم من يلمزك في الصدقت} [التوبة: ٥٨].
