Umayma bint Raqiqa reported,

I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ among a group of women who were pledging allegiance to him on Islam. They said, "Messenger of Allah, we pledge to you that we will not associate anything with Allah, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill our children, nor bring forth slander that we have fabricated between our hands and feet, nor disobey you in what is right."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "In what you are able and capable of."She said, the women replied, "Allah and His Messenger are more merciful to us than we are to ourselves. Come, let us give you our pledge, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I do not shake hands with women. My word to a hundred women is like my word to a single woman," or, "is the same as my word to a single woman."
