The Prophet ﷺ sent me on a mission. When I returned, he asked me, "How do you feel?"I replied, "I kept going until I imagined I had servants accompanying me. By Allah, I will never again work over two men after this."
بعثني النبي ﷺ مبعثا، فلما رجعت قال لي: كيف تجد نفسك؟ قلت: ما زلت حتى ظننت أن معي خولا لي، وأيم الله لا أعمل على رجلين بعدها أبدا.

Narrated by Nasai in Kubra (8695), Tabarani in Kabir (20/258-259), and Hakim (3/349-350), all through routes going back to Bishr bin Mufaddal, who said, Abdullah bin Awn told us, from Umayr bin Ishaq, from Miqdad bin Aswad, and he related it.Hakim said, This is a hadith sahih in isnad. I say, its isnad contains Umayr bin Ishaq, from whom no one narrated except Ibn Awn. Malik was asked about him and said, "A man has narrated from him, but I cannot say anything about him." Darimi reported from Ibn Main that he said, "Trustworthy." Nasai said, "There is no harm in him." Ibn Main said in another report, "He is worth nothing, but his hadith is written down, for the hadith of someone like him is graded hasan." And Allah knows best.As for his saying, "servants of mine," it means what Allah, exalted is He, had granted him of blessings, male servants, female servants, and others.
