The Prophet ﷺ was asked about wine being made into vinegar. He said, "No."
أن النبي ﷺ سئل عن الخمر تتخذ خلا؟ فقال: لا.
Muslim narrated it in "The Book of Drinks" (1983) via Sufyan (that is, Thawri), from Suddi, from Yahya bin Abbad, from Anas, who said what has already been mentioned. Abu Dawud narrated it (3675) through another route from Sufyan with his chain, "Abu Talha asked the Prophet ﷺ about orphans who had inherited wine. He said, 'Pour it out.' He asked, 'Shall I not make it into vinegar?' He said, 'No.'"
