I will not drink nabidh after hearing Abu Saeed say, "A drunken man was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, 'I did not drink wine. I only drank Zabib and dates soaked in a gourd vessel.'"He reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered him to be struck with hands and beaten with sandals, and he forbade the use of gourd vessels and forbade mixing Zabib with dates.
Ahmad narrated it (11279), and Nasai in Kubra (5292), and Hakim graded it sahih (4/374), all through routes from Shubah, from Abu Tayah, from Abu Wadak, from Abu Saeed Khudri, who said, and then he narrated it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Wadak, whose name is Jabr bin Nawf Bakali, for he is hasan al-hadith. Abu Tayah's name is Yazid bin Humayd Dubi.
