Hakam Ghifari said to a man, or a man said to him, "Do you remember when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the use of naqir and muqayyar," or one of the two, "and dubba and hantam?"He replied, "Yes, and I bear witness to that."
أن الحكم الغفاري قال لرجل- أو قال له رجل: أتذكر حين نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن النقير والمقير- أو أحدهما-، وعن الدباء، والحنتم؟ قال: نعم وأنا أشهد على ذلك.
Ahmad (17860) and Tabarani in al-Kabir (3/235) both narrated it through Sulayman Taymi, from Abu Tamima, from Daljah bin Qays, who said, then he mentioned it. In its chain is Daljah bin Qays, whom no one besides Ibn Hibban rated as trustworthy, while the rest of its narrators are trustworthy. Abu Tamima is Tarif bin Mujalid, and Sulayman is the son of Tarkhan. Daljah has a corroborating narration.Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (3/234), and Musaddad as found in Matalib Aliyah (1832), both through Sawadah bin Asim, from Hakam Ghifari, who was one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, and he mentioned it similarly.
