Abu Abdul-Rahman reported,

While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, two riders appeared. When he saw them, he said, "These are men of Kindah and Madhhij." When they arrived, one of them turned out to be from Madhhij.One of them came forward to give him his pledge of allegiance. When he took the Prophet's hand, he said, "Messenger of Allah, tell me about someone who saw you, believed in you, affirmed your truthfulness, and followed you. What is his reward?"He replied, "Blessedness is his."Then he wiped his hand and departed.The other then came forward and took his hand to give his pledge. He said, "Messenger of Allah, tell me about someone who believed in you, affirmed your truthfulness, and followed you, but never saw you. What is his reward?"He replied, "Blessedness is his, then blessedness is his, then blessedness is his."Then he wiped his hand and departed.

عن أبي عبد الرحمن الجهني، قال

بينا نحن عند رسول الله ﷺ طلع ركبان، فلما رآهما قال: كنديان مذحجيان حتى أتيا، فإذا رجل من مذحج. قال: فدنا إليه أحدهما ليبايعه، قال: فلما أخذ بيده، قال: يا رسول الله، أرأيت من رآك فآمن بك وصدقك وأتبعك، ماذا له؟ قال: طوبى له. قال: فمسح على يده فانصرف، ثم أتيا الآخر حتى أخذ بيده ليبايعه، قال: يا رسول الله، أرأيت من آمن بك وصدقك وأتبعك ولم يرك؟ قال: طوبى له، ثم طوبى له، ثم طوبى له. قال: فمسح على يده، فانصرف.
