The Prophet ﷺ said, "Many men have attained perfection, but none of the women attained it except Maryam, daughter of Imran, and Asiya, the wife of Pharaoh. The superiority of Ayesha over other women is like the superiority of tharid over all other foods."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: كمل من الرجال كثير، ولم يكمل من النساء إلا مريم بنت عمران، وآسية امرأة فرعون، وفضل عائشة على النساء كفضل الثريد على سائر الطعام.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Foods (5418), and Muslim in the Virtues of the Companions (2431), both through the route of Shuba, from Amr bin Mura Jamali, from Mura Hamdani, from Abu Musa Ashari, who narrated it.His statement, "tharid," means bread that is crumbled, that is, broken up, with meat broth, and it may sometimes include meat with it.
