The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the illness in which he passed away, "Ayesha, I still feel the pain of the food I ate at Khaybar. This is the moment when my aorta is being severed by that poison."
يقول رسول الله ﷺ في مرضه الذي توفي فيه: يا عائشة! إني أجد ألم الطعام الذي أكلته بخيبر، فهذا أوان انقطاع أبهري من ذلك السم.
Hakim narrated it (3/58), and from him Bayhaqi (10/11), through the hadith of Anbasah, who said, Yunus narrated to us, from Ibn Shihab, who said, Urwa said, Ayesha used to say, and then he mentioned it. Bukhari mentioned it in the chapter on military expeditions (4428) as a suspended narration, saying, "Yunus said," and then mentioned it in the same manner.
