The Prophet ﷺ said, "Isa, son of Maryam , will descend at the white minaret east of Damascus."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: ينزل عيسى ابن مريم عليه السلام عند المنارة البيضاء شرقي دمشق.
Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir (1/186), Tamam in his Fawaid (1732), and Rubai in Fadail Al-Sham (106), all through routes from Muhammad bin Shuayb, who said, Yazid bin Ubayda told us, Abu Ashath told me, from Aws bin Aws Thaqafi, and he narrated it.Haythami mentioned it in Al-Majmu (8/205) and said, "Tabarani related it and its narrators are trustworthy." I say, it is as he said, except that its chain is hasan due to Yazid bin Ubayda, who is Sakuni Dimashqi. Ibn Main said of him, "There is nothing wrong with him," and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Al-Thiqat (7/617). The summary regarding him is that he is "truthful," as Hafiz said in Al-Taqrib. Muhammad bin Shuayb is Ibn Shabur, and Abu Ashath is Shurahbil bin Adah Sanani. However, Abu Hatim gave preference to the view of those who said that it is only from Aws bin Aws, from Kaab, as his own statement, saying, "This is how the trustworthy narrators relate it." He said, "Yazid bin Ubayda, there is nothing wrong with him." Ibn Abu Hatim mentioned this in Al-Ilal (2/422).
