Nasai (4382), Ibn Hibban (5904), and Ibn Jarud (905) narrated it through Ibn Wahb, who said, Amr bin Harith told me, from Bukayr bin Abdullah bin Ashaj, who was told that Muaz bin Abdullah bin Habib Juhani told him, from Uqba bin Amir Juhani, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan, because of Muaz bin Abdullah, concerning whom there is disagreement, though his hadith is hasan. Hafiz strengthened its chain in Fath al-Bari (10/15).Ahmad (17380) narrated it from Waki, from Usama bin Zayd, from Muaz bin Abdullah bin Habib, from Ibn Musayab, from Uqba bin Amir, who said, I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a yearling lamb. He said, "Sacrifice it, there is no harm in that."He added Ibn Musayab into the chain, so it is possible that Muaz bin Abdullah heard it from Saeed bin Musayab first, then heard it from Uqba afterward. Otherwise, the narration of Bukayr Ashaj is closer to being correct, for he is far more reliable and precise in memory than Usama bin Zayd Laythi.
