Abdullah bin Amr bin As reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no valid vow except in what is intended to seek the face of Allah 
, and there is no binding oath in severing ties of kinship."

قال رسول الله ﷺ: لا نذر إلا فيما ابتغي به وجه الله عز وجل، ولا يمين في قطيعة رحم.

Zia-ur-Rahman Azami
Abu Dawud (2373) and Ahmad (6732) both narrated it through Abdul-Rahman bin Harith, from Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from his grandfather, who related it. Its chain is hasan because of Amr, for his hadith is hasan.
