Abu Dawud (3296), Ahmad (2134), Hakim (4/302), Bayhaqi (10/79), Darimi (2335), and Tahawi in his Mushkil (2151) narrated it through various routes from Hammam bin Yahya, from Qatada, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who related it, and its chain is sahih.In one version it says, "she should offer a sacrificial camel." This is an addition from a reliable narrator, and the narrations that do not mention the sacrificial offering or the camel should be understood in light of this. So whoever vows to perform the pilgrimage on foot but is unable to do so must offer a sacrificial camel.Hisham also narrated it, saying, "Qatada narrated to us, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, that news reached the Prophet ﷺ that the sister of Uqba bin Amir had vowed to perform the pilgrimage on foot. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'Allah has no need of her vow, so tell her to ride.'"Tahawi narrated it in his Mushkil (2135) and said, "Hisham has a better memory than Hammam, so how did you accept Hammam's addition, from Qatada, over him?"He said, "Our answer to him on this matter, by Allah's grace and help, was that we accepted it because if Hammam narrated a hadith and was its sole transmitter, it would be accepted from him. Likewise, his addition in the hadith you mentioned is accepted from him, especially since Matar, from Ikrima, agreed with him on that." End of quote.
