The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Pardon one another regarding the prescribed punishments among yourselves, for once a case reaches me, the punishment becomes obligatory."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: تعافوا الحدود فيما بينكم فما بلغني من حد فقد وجب.
Narrated by Abu Dawud (4376), and from his route Bayhaqi (8/331) and Nasai (4886), and Hakim graded it sahih (4/383), all of them from the hadith of Ibn Wahb, "I heard Ibn Jurayj narrating from Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from Abdullah bin Amr," and he related the hadith. Its chain is hasan because of Amr bin Shuayb, for his hadith is hasan. Hakim said, "Its chain is sahih." This hadith is among what Ibn Jurayj heard directly from Amr bin Shuayb.
