The Messenger of Allah ﷺ cut off the hand of a thief for stealing a shield worth three dirhams.
أن رسول الله ﷺ قطع في مجن ثمنه ثلاثة دراهم.
Malik narrated it in al-Hudud (21), from Nafi, from Abdullah bin Umar, and he related it.Bukhari narrated it in al-Hudud (6795) and Muslim in al-Hudud (6:1686), both of them by way of Malik, with the same chain, likewise.
