He heard him say that the Prophet ﷺ said, "When a slave woman commits fornication and her offense is established, let him flog her without rebuking her. If she fornicates again, let him flog her without rebuking her. Then if she fornicates a third time, let him sell her, even for a rope of hair."
أنه سمعه يقول: قال النبي ﷺ: إذا زنت الأمة فتبين زناها فليجلدها ولا يثرب، ثم إن زنت فليجلدها ولا يثرب، ثم إن زنت الثالثة فليبغها ولو بحبل من شعر.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Legal Punishments (6839), and Muslim in the Book of Legal Punishments (30:1703), both of them through Layth (that is, Ibn Saad), from Saeed bin Abu Saeed Maqburi, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.
