A man peered into one of the chambers of the Prophet ﷺ, so he got up and took an arrowhead, or several arrowheads, and began to approach him stealthily in order to stab him.
أن رجلا اطلع في بعض حجر النبي ﷺ فقام إليه بمشقص- أو مشاقص، وجعل يختله ليطعنه.
Bukhari reported it in the Book of Blood Money (6900) and Muslim in the Book of Manners (2158), by way of Hammad bin Zayd, from Ubaydullah bin Abu Bakr, from Anas, and he mentioned it.His saying, "mashaqis," is the plural of mishqas, which is a broad arrowhead.His saying, "yakhtiluh," with the first letter fully pronounced and the ta with a kasrah, means he lay in wait for him and caught him off guard.
